Ketu: familiar experience, detachment and expectations of perfection
Ketu does not mean only loss. It also concerns why familiar approaches no longer satisfy, and how to recognize which experiences remain worth keeping.

The opposite end from Rahu
Ketu is the descending intersection of the Moon's orbit with the ecliptic, opposite Rahu. Among the nine grahas, the Sun, Moon and five visible planets are celestial bodies, while Rahu and Ketu are orbital nodes.
In this library’s interpretive framework, Ketu often brings people to areas where they already have familiarity and experience, yet still feel something is incomplete. Ability may be present, while established sources of satisfaction are being questioned.
Astronomical identity and traditional references
Ketu is the descending node, opposite Rahu. It often concerns detachment, discernment and dissatisfaction with established experience; specific themes depend on its life area, sign ruler and the chart as a whole.

The ability remains, but satisfaction has changed
Work someone once excelled at may lose its appeal as goals or circumstances change. It is worth exploring separately how their existing abilities still function and what they now want from that work.
For example, a creator repeatedly rejects finished work, always feeling it falls far short of their vision. This dissatisfaction can be explored through their standards of judgment, genuine needs and actual creative conditions.
Expectations of perfection and actual effort
Ketu's harshness can manifest as difficulty accepting the incompleteness of existing things. The important distinction is between flaws that can be improved and expectations beyond what something can provide.
Ketu's life area, sign ruler, same-sign connections and actual experiences help explain where this detachment or dissatisfaction arises.
Even a seven-year major period has differing conditions
Ketu's standard major period lasts 7 years. Supportive positions and connections must be considered separately from difficult circumstances and afflictions; relationships with the relevant period lords then show how different stages unfold.
The antardasha and configurations in the relevant areas further indicate what is ending, which abilities and support remain available, and what conditions can carry into the next stage.
