D30: Difficulties, pressure and vulnerabilities

Specific areas of difficulty and pressure, the D30 calculation method used, and available support.

Difficulties also need a specific focus

D30 examines difficulties, pressure and vulnerabilities. A reading first identifies the area in which a problem occurs, then examines the influences on the relevant factors.

For example, repeated setbacks may appear as depleted energy, relationship pressure or unsustainable arrangements. The natal chart and actual circumstances need to be considered together to understand where the current problem comes from.

Algorithms and conventions are especially important

D30 has different traditional division methods. The intervals and mapping rules used affect the sign in which a planet ultimately falls.

When two tools produce different D30 results, compare the original positions, division intervals and mapping rules. Even with identical natal positions, different algorithms may change divisional placements.

Support and coping under pressure

Continue by examining where pressure is concentrated, what support remains and how the person is responding. Specific health or other professional questions also require relevant real-world information and professional judgment.
